In our society women have the task of finding food for the family. It is quite hard as they have to tag along to nature in that quest for food for their kids. When it is dry season they feed their kids on dried pumpkin leaves, dried okra and a some fresh fish they catch with reed baskets in shallow water. In the rain season they collect Mpububu’biden schimperi’, mushrooms, pumpkin leaves and wild okra. These women are resiliant and so hard-working. Planting a future will make sure each home has a Moringa tree for relish and medicine.
A miracle for Patrick! He can’t believe his luck. Breadfruit has the key to save his family from hunger. Patrick is now one of our volunteers and is so passionate about the project.
