Recap Day 1: Provincial Agriculture Show

Livingstone, 16 July 2015:

Lloyd, Grime, Andrew and Wesley woke up early to fix the last bits of our booth and to equip the booth and display stands with all our seedlings, samples and posters.

After that and shortly before the show opened at 8am Zambian time the guys took a last and well-deserved break.

Our booth is No 2 right from the entrance of the show grounds in Livingstone, near the Maramba Cultural Market along the road to Water Front.

The day started out quiet at first. But we met a lot of interesting people and had good conversations. Amazingly there was even a nice Zambian lady who told us she knew breadfruit before. Now she was very happy and couldn’t trust her eyes to actually see a real seedling.

It is exciting for us to be part of this huge show. There are hundreds of big exhibitors at the grounds. Of course we also take our chances to meet people, make contacts and find people to work with. The potential is high.

Keep your fingers crossed that Planting A Future will draw more people in the next few days and that the attention and awareness of our cause rises!
