No more window shopping…We are now making a real job of it!

Finally last Sunday we could do the first money transfer from Germany to Zambia. In our fundraising campaign around Christmas we collected around 3.500 Euros. The first 500 Euros now arrived in Zambia and I could buy some of the items on our wish list.

For now our priority is to protect the seedlings from too much sun. That is why we decided to first buy some shade nettings and poles to build a shelter.

Since we are still waiting for Western Union to confirm the verification of the bank account holder we now use the time to build shelter. As soon as this is all through the remaining money will be transferred so that we can buy more things, like the much needed water pump and water tanks, as well as fences.

I already checked out those items in the stores 😉

Soon we will get the water pump :)

Next step is to buy tanks so we can actually keep some water for dry periods

Different wires and fences are still on our list

See all that? Soon…soon 😉

On a Mission for our Future

These days I travel around a lot. Destinations like Zimbabwe, Namibia and Botswana sound like a nice holiday. But I am on a mission. I am traveling the neighbouring countries to research the prices for all the items we need to plant a future. We need to find out how to get the most and best for the money we have. Thanks to all the donors who want to help us we already raised money and now it is up to me and the Planting A Future people to spend it responsibly.
